Paying monthly, and aftercare — two different things
Paying monthly spreads the cost of building the site over twelve months instead of paying for it in one go. At the end of the twelve months the site is yours outright. No exit fee, ever.
Aftercare is the optional bit that comes after. Hosting, backups, security updates and your small edits, handled for you so you never have to think about it. Cancel whenever you like — you keep the site either way.
Shopfront has no aftercare plan on purpose. It's one page that rarely changes, so paying every month for it would be daft. When you do want something altered, you pay for that edit and nothing else.
Every package includes: a mobile-first build, your own domain set up, SSL, two rounds of changes, and me sitting down with you to show how to update the bits you'll want to change yourself.

Questions people ask
Do I own my website?
Yes. The domain is registered in your name and the files are yours. If you paid monthly, that applies once the twelve months are up.
What if I want to move it somewhere else?
I'll hand over the files and the domain and help you point it at whoever you're moving to. No charge and no fuss.
How long does it take?
A Shopfront page is usually about a week. A full site is two to three weeks. Bespoke work depends on what it has to do — I'll tell you before we start.
Do you write the words as well?
I do. You tell me about the business, I write a first draft, you tell me what's wrong with it. Most people find that easier than staring at a blank page.
What if I need changes later?
Small things like a price change, new opening hours or a fresh photo are covered by the £12 care plan. Anything bigger gets quoted first so there are no surprises.
Is there a contract?
For one-off work, no — you pay half up front and half when it goes live. The monthly option has a twelve month term, written in plain English on one page.
